Chloe caught a stomach bug and was sick for four days.  Poor thing!!!  she's soo pitiful, it breaks my heart!

Sunday, 2.12.17 - Cub Scouts Blue and Gold Banquet, hosted by the Bears.  Yep, we're Bears this year.  It was a great event if I do say so myself, but soo relieved it's over!!

Danielle Shakespeare, me, and Jennifer Gilmore - even though party-planning is NOT my cup of tea, these ladies were so great to work with!!

we hired a balloon artist.  and had it catered by Waffle House.  and had a photobooth and a cake contest.  I must say, we set the bar pretty high for next year's third graders, hehe :)

a wonderfully warm and sunny Sunday of yardwork followed by grilling out with awesome neighbor-friends.  The girls all squished together on the same side of the table :)  Ryan enjoyed eating by himself all the way on the other side of the porch, poor boy!

February 1st, 2017

So I decided to just give February 1st it's own post instead of just trying to pick a couple pictures.  I took a lot of pictures that day and most of them were super cute :)  It was pajama day at preschool for Chloe, and we stopped at the Woodmont playground afterwards to play with Josh.  Look at that sweet little face!!

When the bigs got home, we had a fun playdate with the Conleys!
we got Culver's ice cream to go - yumm!!!  So exciting to have a new dining option in our small town ;) I may or not have gone three times in the first week or so it was open!
Then we went to a nearby playground... where's an amazing hiking trail behind the new[ish] playground at the south end of Harmony.  We had so much fun!

January 2017

As you'll notice in these pictures, we did get a fairly respectable snowfall this January.  However, there are also plenty of other pictures of walks and basketball games and all sorts of outdoor fun!  I had captioned one of my January pictures .....  I love how mild and beautiful January [and February too] has been.  Other then the snowstorm, it's been wonderfully and unusually nice

Saturday, 1.7.17 - SNOW!

2017 - like it never happened

OOPS!!  Not a single blog post for the year 2017.  My bad.  And actually only one in 2018.  So here I am coming to you from the future once again [October 2019].  It's a little like cheating, but not really, right??  I'm basically just transferring photos that I've kept current all along over into here, so I can print them into pretty blog books and thus we can remember our memories :)

I've so enjoyed getting back into blogging.  I've recently updated the blog cover picture - the last one was from 2011 I believe.  Chloe wasn't even a twinkle in my eye yet in the old photo.  Welcome to the world, Chloe!  I've updated the blog backgrounds and layouts to look prettier and more modern and basically just freshened it all up.  It's a new start!  I've backdated picture posts into 2016, and it felt really awesome to finish up that year.  I've even posted some current posts!  I recently printed a couple of books - everything through 2015 is printed and displayed on the fireplace shelves.  Now that 2016 is done, I'm looking forward to working on 2017 and eventually getting it all caught up and printed out and hopefully staying current.  It really is fun to work on here, and hopefully we will all appreciate these books and memories for many, many years to come!

So without further ado, off I go to start working on a picture post for January 2017!
