May 2017, part two

So that baseball game from the part one post of May ... the one where Ryan is doing his victory move ... where they came back from behind to win ... where we went to Bruster's afterwards to celebrate.  Yeah, that night.  So Chloe's getting into the car leaving Bruster's and pushes herself up into her carseat.  She cries out in obvious pain and her elbow is hurting her something crazy.  Here she is the next morning after an ortho appt showing a hairline fracture in the elbow.  Back to the full arm cast.

I treated myself to Wildflour café after the appt [and Chloe to a McDs kids meal].
Chloe LOVED my tomato basil soup.

So anyways, in my humble, non-medical opinion writing this in 2019 with the benefit of experience and perception and everything else that you gain as time passes and you contemplate life ... I'm convinced more then ever that her elbow was broken all along.  With her forearm bones so obviously broken, her elbow had not been x-rayed before this point.  There is no way that pushing up on your carseat to sit down will break your elbow.  I believe it was just the first time she'd really put any pressure/ weight on it since it had been freed from the first full-arm cast.  She was only in the short, purple one for three or four days.  Now, whatever, I don't blame anyone or anything like that.  It is what it is.  But I do think the break was missed.  Fast forward to her break in June, 2019 ... I said something to the x-ray tech in the e.r. about if he would be x-ray'ing her elbow too, and I briefly mentioned that she had had a previous break and the elbow had not been x-ray'ed, but was broken too.  He said that it was policy now to x-ray elbows and wrists too when the forearms were broken.  And then he said something that I didn't quite catch and didn't even process until later, something about how that might be because of her?!?  how crazy is that if it's true.

Waffle House with Addie and Chloe!
speech and then breakfast since they don't have preschool anymore.

Claire and Chloe have really become good friends recently, and we've had several playdates.
Unfortunately both Claire and Addie are September babies, so even though they're only a month younger then Chloe, they'll be a grade behind.  Here's hoping they'll all stay friends anyways!
Claire, Chloe, and Zoey

Last baseball game of the season
Go Macedonia Braves!

And just because I've had it in the bottom of my email for over two years ... here seems a somewhat logical place to put it ...  This is a message that I received from Ryan's coach the night that Chloe broke her arm [during a baseball game]  I thought it was too nice to not save and put somewhere.  We were flooded with support and kind messages and prayers!

Please know you guys are in our thoughts and let us know if we can do anything for you.
