where to start?!

I guess I'll try to fill in the blanks chronologically. Which means my sister's wedding!! But first, here are the cousins, Ryan & Maxim, helping Sarah & I shop for the wedding supplies. We had a great time picking out bach party goodies, car decorating goodies (we were very nice I might add), and even a surprise present for Laura's suitcase. Thanks Auntie Sarah and Maxim for helping us shop! We had a blast!

I guess that makes me a hypocrite

I still love to read friends' and familys' blogs and I am sad if I don't have any new posts pop up on my google homepage thingy. And yet I haven't made a real post in over a month. Sorry guys. Maybe I'll get better...

the redneck yacht club

Monday night we spent the evening with our buddy Kevin and his girlfriend Cristina. It was great to see them. We had a yummy Mexican/ Puerto Rican dinner and we even got to go out on our old boat for awhile. Ryan loves boats, but had never been on one before. He wasn't really too sure what to think. I doubt he enjoyed it, but he did at least calm down after a few minutes. It was wonderful to be out on the water again, we've really missed our time on the lake. And congrats to Kevin for finding the One, Cristina is awesome, we approve :)

As promised... Weekapaug!

Happy 4th of July

Quaint & charming Rhode Island

Great - Grandma!

Ryan loved the boats!

the beach

listening to the Ipod on the plane

we had a wonderful trip to Weekapaug!! Ryan was amazing on the plane ride!! The only time he fussed was getting on the bus at the parking lot and then when they took his stroller and put it through security - what were they thinking taking his stroller?! Other than that, no crying at all on the plane. He even slept on the way back to Atlanta.

Rhode Island was beautiful and sunny. We enjoyed the cool weather, although way too cold to get in the ocean! but we had a very nice house with a great deck and awesome view of the water. And the deck was a wonderful spot for watching all sorts of fireworks on the 4th. In fact it was so clear, we could even see across to some of the shows in NY!! Wow! And from what I heard, the wedding was a beautiful event and went perfectly, congratulations to Amy & Shawn!!

It was also really nice to have so much family around all weekend. We shared a house with Grandma, Coleson's dad & Jo-Ann, and Sarah, Christian & Maxim. And right across the street Tyler & Jennifer and Betty & Chris were able to stay with Ms. Palm. And after the wedding festivities died down, Rick & Cheryl stopped by a few times, as had John. It was so great to see everyone and visit and we look forward to being together again in October to celebrate Tyler & Jennifer!

my bad

Alright, so as you've noticed, all the pictures are gone. That's my bad. Oops. I've replaced the layout pictures, but the pictures within the previous posts are gone forever. Well not really, they are all still within albums on my picasa page which you can link to over there on the right, but the previous posts will all have the empty boxes with x's instead of fun photos. So let's look to the future and make a fresh start. Coming up next... Weekapaug as promised before I messed this all up! :)

fudges...

So I was signing on to post about our 4th of July trip to Weekapaug, but now I'm all distracted. Is anyone else having trouble seeing the pictures on this site? I think I messed it all up when I was clearing out some photos on my picasa page. They are apparently linked and when I delated some on picasa, it appears to have delated them on here. Oops. So anyways, as I said I'm all distracted now trying to figure out what I goofed and if I can fix it, or if I should just say sorry and go forward from here. I will post shortly about Weekapaug though!

beanbag

A few nights ago we had dinner at Grandma & Grandpa's with some old family friends. After a yummy dinner - Ryan ate a TON of meatloaf - we headed to the backyard to try out the beanbag toss that we got Grandpa/ Dad for Father's Day. While Ryan did not officially play, he had a great time and it was super funny watching him. He was very interested in the game and would grab the beanbags and throw them into the holes or take them out depending on how he was feeling. And he'd stand right in front of the goals waiting for you to throw them back which of course made it really hard to get the ball in. He also ran from goal to goal and occasionally tried to give the "balls" to the dogs. No pictures of the event, but it was just to funny not to blog about. Next time we play I'll have to get pictures.

swimming

It's taken several attempts, but Ryan is finally liking the pool again. After loving it last summer, he began this summer on a very bad note. But we didn't give up, and we've managed to convince him that it really is fun to swim. Here he is having a great time in the kiddie area of Nana's neighborhood pool. The baby pool has a beach-like entrance with sprinklers so he can ease in slowly. And then there was a mushroom fountain. It was a really cool kid's place and Ryan had a great time!

Happy Father's Day!!!!

We enjoyed a nice brunch with Grandma, Grandpa, & Aunt Lolly this morning. It was great to have Laura in town for the weekend! We also had a second brunch with Pop-Pop, Nana, Auntie Sarah, Uncle Christian, Maxim, and Vivian. Happy Father's Day to all the daddies in the family!
